Antique French Terracotta Jug

A wonderfully rustic antique French terracotta measuring pitcher with a warm, timeworn surface, simple incised banding, and a beautifully formed handle. Stamped “1/2”, indicating its original half-liter capacity, with an additional impressed maker’s mark on the body.

The scattered remnants of old surface finish, mineral deposits, and wear give this one so much character—exactly the kind of utilitarian French pottery that only gets better with age.
